their dogs bring them.

min. - VHS)

play about the first person to use a Seeing Eye dog. He brings to life
Morris Frank, whose single-minded determination to enable himself and
other blind people to travel independently with Seeing Eye dogs opened
a new world for them. The story touches the hearts of all who have overcome
adversity.

emotional support and professional instruction, life after sight loss

availability of professional training and importance of family support
and features blind men and women who have chosen to move forward, despite
disability, to lead fulfilling, productive lives. Contact The Seeing

partners and guides.
Seeing Eye Puppy Raisers: People Like You (18:30 min. - VHS)
- Dogs raised in a kennel don't have the foundation of love and exposure
to society that Seeing Eye dogs need. Seeing Eye Puppy-Raisers,
narrated by Betty White, looks at the extraordinary volunteers who open
their homes and hearts to puppies destined to become Seeing Eye dogs.
It shows the nurturing they give the pups and underscores the importance
of their work to the success of The Seeing Eye.
Coming Home (23 min. - VHS)
- Seeing Eye graduates often tell of well-intentioned interference and
misperceptions about the role of a dog guide from family, friends, employers
and colleagues. Coming Home helps them blend the dogs more seamlessly
into their daily lives by helping those closest to them understand what
a dog guide can and cannot do, and providing instruction on "dog
guide etiquette." It discusses orientation, meeting new people,
feeding, correction, public interference, travel and more.
